"MERCI"

Good morning everybody!
Sadly, I have to inform you that we are approaching the end of our visit to EnStyle in Parys!
Not to worry, as I will have something else up my sleeve for you! I just love hearing from my regular followers who inspire me so much to continue blogging; although they have not subscribed to my Blog, but email me regularly and chat on Facebook! I had such a lovely surprise  the other day when Willa Croft from The Old Cupboard Door inboxed me complimenting me on my Blog and thanking me. Please pop in at her blog. You will love her warmth and charm, with lots of inspiring ideas. So, it's those small things that mean the world to me! Please continue with your emails, text msgs and comments! Some ideas would also help, as one does fall into a rut at times.

Anyway, I would like to introduce you to my other favourite shop - "Merci". I know that I have blogged in a previous post, but every time I visit, there's something new and beautiful!

Merci is a French inspired shop that focuses on mostly  French lace, toile-du-jouy, cutlery and crockery! If you are not sure what 'toile' is, then please pop into 4th March blog where I gave a brief description. One needs a lot of time to linger in this shop as there's just too much to take in all at once!
I just love all the red accessories and purchased some knives and forks for my new red kitchen.

Meet Lydia who has quite a broad knowledge of what she's selling and will do anything to help you.

I also loved the old vintage replica tins, mugs, tea towels and flasks!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a peaceful weekend!

"fraai"....

Once again we visit one of my favourite shops at EnStyle! "Fraai". Rolandi is the owner who ensures that she has an assortment of the most interesting items; clothing, shoes and bric-a-brac. I just love her shop and get caught up looking at everything there.

Another print of Tretchikof's. This is a pillow case. Think I must start a collection of all his works.

Rolandi, in the centre, helping clients.

An old fashioned bread bin, with some printed bottle caps on.

I caught this excited client trying on some 'jelley baby' shoes.

Some more jelley baby shoes.

Some gorgeous frames and keys!

Cushions,masks and a straw bag!

This handmade jewellry really tickles my fancy!

My 'soft spot' - some Tretchikoff items; from crockery, purses and miniature posters on the bottom shelf!

This vintage suitcase is filled with bottles, ribbon and cards!

I'm sure you have grown to love 'fraai' as much as I do. We will be shopping at 'Merci' tomorrow!!
Take care!

Every item in this little shop is handmade by tribal people. There are many beautiful pieces of bead work, pottery and clothing in this shop that's so tastefully decorated!

Meet Julia who will tell you everything you need to know about the different pieces and can give you a piece of personal history on the items as well.

Such stunning pieces and intricate detail

Is this wreath not beautiful?

I love this Shwe-shwe fabric and traditional Zulu hat!

Well, what can I say?? I just drool over all the handwork! Seriously, I just love anything handmade!
Hope you are still enjoying EnStyle? Please do yourselves a favour and pop in there sometime.

"blou"

......is another shop that I love! It contains soooo many beautiful pieces of (blue) crockery and other items that one can use for interior decor; especially in the kitchen! I have just changed my blue kitchen to 'red' recently and when I look at all this 'blue beauty', I wonder if I shouldve kept with the blue, but my blue blinds had faded and were 15 yrs old!! So I think it was time for a change?? Not so?
Anyway, enjoy "blou"!

Esther is the manageress of the "blou" shop and is very capable of assisting you with whatever big or small 'whim' you may have!

Believe it or not;..... the plates in the white cane basket (bottom right), are made from 'melamine'!! They look just like ceramic or 'Delft'! They are used for outdoors and cannot break very easily!! "You could've fooled me"! I told Esther. She just laughed. They come in packs of 4x side plates and 4x dinner plates! Absolutely worth it if you feel like a fancy picnic!

Don't you just love these 2 cushions?

Well, I trust that you have enjoyed "blou"?
Have a lovely day and a peaceful weekend! See you again tomorrow! God bless!
